15 things I learned on vacation....

I complied a list of things I learned while on vacation:
*I love southern food, although my ass and arteries probably don't.
*It takes a long time to blow dry my hair in the humidity
*Traveling with a 20 month old does not always require medication, on my part or his...
*I love the beach/ocean
*I miss my old friends probably more than I would like to acknowledge.
* I love visiting the Midwest/east coast in October
*I forgot how stunningly beautiful Ohio is in October
* I walked away from JJ's family knowing there is an incredible "sense of family" surrounding them.
* There is no place like Reno/our home.
* I missed my dog...
* I love sleeping in my own bed
*I soaked in some "culture"
* Dolan's other grandma is a "bootleg hustla"(In her own words...)
*I adore the feeling of sand under my feet, but not in my hair or mouth...
*I am already planning another vacation....

Vacation Spot #2

We landed in North Carolina on Monday. That evening we all went to dinner in Moorehead City at the Channel Marker. It was crazy to say the least. Dolan was wiping his spaghetti all over his face and head and Alex was drawing a mural on the window in butter.... we got out of there asap. On Tuesday it was a bit dreary weather wise so we met at Nikki's sister, Holly's house with her other sister Leigh Ann and Nikki's mom, Lynn. There were 4 boys there under the age of 3 and we did crafts, painted pumpkins and made chocolate covered pretzels and cookie witch hats. Today, we went to the beach for a few hours... it was just awesome, I miss this place terribly when I can sit and watch the waves crash with my feet buried in the sand....From there we rushed home to wash the sand off and put on the costumes for "Trick or Treating Under the Sea" at the local Aquarium. It was an amazing event. We also watch divers carve pumpkins under water. I had a bit of a mishap with my rental car in Florida. Good thing I checked while here, I am so excited that I did, because I ended up saving $70 when I rebooked. Anyhow, we are off in the morning to Daytona Beach. I can't believe how fast the last week has gone.... I can't wait to post pictures when I get back. I have taken some amazing pictures. I foresee me doing a scrapbook in and of itself for this vacation. Oh yeah, as an aside... Dolan has been absolutely amazing on this trip. He is playing well with all the kids and baby Aaron is to die for. He is too sweet....
